Paper Tiger Studio helps you create short character-led business videos in three steps: create a character, describe the video you want, then review the script and generate the video. It is built for business owners, creators and freelancers who want memorable short videos without filming, editing timelines or complicated prompting.

Getting started+

What is Paper Tiger Studio?

Paper Tiger Studio is a tool for creating short animated business videos with a character as the main face of the story.

You can create a character from a photo or a written idea, describe the video you want in simple words, review the script, and generate a short vertical video for social media, websites, ads or client communication.

The system is built around the structure that made Paper Tiger videos work: a strong character, a clear problem, a visual transformation and a memorable reveal.

Who is it for?

Paper Tiger Studio is especially useful for service businesses with visible results.

  • barbers
  • dentists
  • groomers
  • massage therapists
  • beauty studios
  • clinics
  • restaurants
  • cafés
  • bakeries
  • gyms
  • local service businesses
  • creators making content for clients
  • social media managers
  • freelancers

If your business has a service, a transformation, a result or a story people can understand quickly, the studio can help you turn it into short character-led content.

Step 1 — Create your character

Your character is the face of your business videos. You can create one in two ways.

Option 1 — Use a photo. Upload a clear photo of yourself, someone from your team, or another person you have permission to use. The studio will help turn the photo into a character that can appear in business videos. For best results, use:

  • a clear front-facing photo
  • good lighting
  • one person in the image
  • a photo without heavy filters
  • a photo without sunglasses or anything covering the face
  • a sharp image rather than a blurry screenshot

Your character should still feel connected to the real person, while becoming more memorable and easier to use in content.

Option 2 — Use an idea. You can also create a character from a written description. For example: “A shy frog barber in an elegant suit. He has impostor syndrome but is brilliant at his job.” or “A confident dentist with perfect hair, tiny round glasses and a calm professional attitude.”

A good character description includes who the character is, what business or role they represent, how they look, their personality, the mood, and any important visual details.

Step 2 — Describe your video idea

After your character is ready, describe the video you want. You can write in normal words. You do not need to write a technical prompt.

A useful video idea usually includes your business type, the service you want to show, the client problem, the transformation, the final result and the mood of the video.

Example: “A nervous patient comes in with stained teeth. My dentist character calmly transforms the smile. At the end, the patient looks confident, happy and amazed.” The clearer your idea, the better the script.

Step 3 — Review the script

The studio creates a short video script based on your character and your idea. It is built around a strong opening moment, a clear business problem, a visual transformation, a satisfying reveal and a short story people can understand quickly.

You can review the script before generating the video. If something feels wrong, adjust the details first. You may want to check: Is the business clear? Is the client problem visible? Is the transformation strong? Does the ending feel memorable? Does the character feel right for your brand?

Step 4 — Generate the video

When you approve the script, you can generate the video. It is designed as short vertical content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Generation may take time depending on the model, length and system load.

Writing a better video idea

A weak idea: “Make a dentist video.” This is too broad — the studio has very little to work with.

A stronger idea: “A nervous patient comes in hiding their smile. My dentist character calmly works on the teeth. The smile becomes bright and confident. At the end, the patient looks in the mirror and cannot believe the result.” This works because it includes the business, the client problem, the transformation, the emotional result and the final reveal.

Useful details to include: the “before” state, the “after” state, type of client, service name, mood, location, final reaction, offer or message, business name, and logo or brand details if relevant.

Characters+

Can I use a photo of myself?

Yes. You can upload a clear phone photo and turn yourself into a business character. Your character can still feel like you while becoming more expressive, memorable and easier to use in videos.

Can I use a photo of someone else?

Yes, if you have permission to use that person’s photo. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and use any photo, logo, name or brand material.

Can I create a character without a photo?

Yes. You can create a character from a written description. This is useful for a fictional mascot, an animal character, a symbolic business character or a face that does not depend on a real person.

Can I make more than one character?

Yes, depending on your plan and available features. You may want different characters for different businesses, services, team members or client projects.

Can I use the same character again?

Yes. Reusing the same character is one of the best ways to make your content more recognisable. A repeated character can become the face of your business content.

What kind of photo works best?

Use a clear image with good lighting, a visible face, one person, no heavy filters, no sunglasses, no face-covering objects, no extreme blur and no very low-resolution screenshot.

Why does my character look wrong?

This can happen if the photo is blurry, too dark, heavily filtered, has multiple people, or does not show the face clearly. Try uploading a clearer photo or creating the character from a written description.

Scripts+

What is the script for?

The script gives your video a clear structure before generation. It helps avoid random results and gives the video a story people can follow.

Can I edit the script?

Yes. You can review the script before the video is created and adjust details such as the service, the client problem, the character action, the final reveal, the mood and the business message.

What makes a good script?

A good short business script usually has a fast hook, one clear problem, one visible transformation, one strong final result and a character people can remember. Simple stories usually work better than overloaded ones.

Videos+

What kind of videos can I create?

Paper Tiger Studio is built for short business videos with a clear visual result. Examples:

  • barber transformation
  • smile makeover
  • grooming before/after
  • food glow-up
  • beauty treatment
  • massage transformation
  • clinic story
  • fitness result
  • café or restaurant moment
  • local business service reveal

Do I need to film anything?

No filming is required. You create a character, describe the idea, review the script and generate the video inside the studio.

Do I need editing experience?

No. The studio is designed to keep the process simple. You focus on the character, the idea and the result you want to show.

How long are the videos?

The main format is short vertical video designed for social media. Available lengths and settings may depend on the current studio features and your plan.

Can I edit the final video?

You can review and adjust the script before generation. Final video editing options may depend on the current studio features and your plan.

Getting better results

Keep the story simple — one short video should usually have one main idea (one haircut transformation, one smile makeover, one dog grooming result, one food reveal, one massage transformation).

Make the transformation visible — the best videos show a clear before and after (messy hair to perfect haircut, nervous smile to confident smile, fluffy dog to clean groomed dog, plain dish to irresistible dish).

Give your character a clear role (barber, dentist, groomer, chef, massage therapist, beauty specialist, clinic expert, café owner, fitness coach), and add emotion — short videos work better when the client reacts (surprised, relieved, proud, amazed, relaxed, confident, delighted).

Avoid overloading the idea — a short video works best with one service, one problem and one result. If you want to show several services, create several videos.

Credits & billing+

Is it free to start?

You can start by creating a character for free. Video generation may use credits depending on your plan and generation settings.

What are credits?

Credits are used for video generation and other studio actions. Different actions may use different amounts depending on the model, length and settings. You can check your available credits inside your account.

Do monthly credits roll over?

Monthly subscription credits usually reset at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. If separate credit packs are available, their expiry rules may differ and will be shown at checkout or inside your account.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You may need to upgrade your plan, wait until your credits reset, or buy more credits if extra credit packs are available.

Why did my credits change?

Credits may change when you generate videos or use other studio actions. If your balance looks wrong, contact support with your account email and a screenshot.

Can I cancel or change my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel or change your plan from your billing settings (account → billing → manage subscription). Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period; after that, access to paid features and unused subscription credits may depend on your plan status.

Do you offer refunds?

Refund rules may depend on your plan, payment provider and usage. If you believe there was a billing mistake or technical issue, contact support with your account email and payment details. See also our Terms.

Commercial use+

Can I use the videos for my business?

Yes. Videos created inside Paper Tiger Studio are made for business content, including social media, websites, ads, marketing, client communication, business presentations and promotional content.

Can I use the videos commercially?

Yes. You can use generated videos for your own business marketing. You are responsible for making sure you have permission to use any uploaded photos, logos, brand names, client materials or third-party assets.

Can I use my own logo or brand details?

Yes. You can include your business name, logo, service details, location, offer, visual references and brand mood in your idea. For best results, describe the brand details clearly.

Can I create videos for clients?

Yes. Creators, freelancers and social media managers can use the studio to create character-led video concepts for client businesses. Make sure you have permission to use any client photos, logos, names, brand materials or references.

Who is responsible for uploaded materials?

You are responsible for the materials you upload and the ideas you submit. Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Do not upload photos of people, clients, staff members, logos or private materials unless you have permission to use them.

Troubleshooting+

My character does not look right

Try using a clearer photo or a more specific description. Useful character details include age range, profession, body type, hairstyle, clothing, mood, personality, business role and visual style.

My script feels too generic

Add more details about your business and the result you want. Instead of “Make a beauty video,” try: “A client comes in with tired skin before an important event. My beauty specialist character gives her a glowing treatment. At the end, she looks fresh, confident and ready to go out.”

My video generation failed

Generation can fail because of a technical issue, unclear input, unsupported content, temporary model limits or system load. Try again with a clearer idea or a simpler script. If the issue continues, contact support.

My credits were used but I did not get a video

Contact support with your account email, the time of the generation, a screenshot, the character or project name, and a short description of what happened. We will check it as soon as possible.

My video does not match the script

AI video generation can sometimes interpret details differently. For better results, keep the script focused, visual and specific. Avoid putting too many actions, locations or characters into one short video.

The upload is not working

Check that your file is supported, clear and not too large. Try refreshing the page or uploading a simpler image. If it still does not work, contact support.

Where are my characters saved? Can I delete or reuse them?

Your saved characters appear inside your account or studio workspace. Character management options may depend on the current studio features — if you need help deleting or managing a character, contact support. You can also keep the same character and create new stories around different services or client problems.

Quick examples

Barber: “A very overgrown client sits in the barber chair, almost hidden under messy hair. My barber character calmly starts the transformation. Hair falls, the shape becomes sharp, and at the end the client sees a perfect haircut in the mirror and looks shocked in the best way.”

Dentist: “A nervous patient hides their smile at the start. My dentist character works calmly and professionally. At the end, the patient sees a bright confident smile and cannot stop smiling.”

Groomer: “A fluffy dog arrives messy and chaotic. My groomer character washes, trims and styles the dog. At the end, the dog looks clean, elegant and proud.”

Massage: “A stressed client walks in stiff and tired. My massage therapist character works calmly. At the end, the client walks out relaxed, light and peaceful.”

Food: “A simple dish appears on the counter. My chef character prepares it beautifully, adds final details, and turns it into an irresistible dish that makes the customer immediately want to try it.”

Still confused?

That is allowed. Start with the simplest version: create one character, write one clear video idea, review one script, generate one short video. Your business does the real work. Your character handles the feed.
